China and Namibia are both developing countries, and the two peoples forged deep friendship in the last century when Namibia was fighting for its national independence. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China and Namibia have consistently provided each other support and help, and have become close friends, reliable partners and good brothers with frequent exchanges of high-level visits, ever-expanding friendly contact and practical cooperation in various fields. In 2018, President Xi Jinping and President Hage G. Geingob decided to establish the China-Namibia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, elevating the bilateral relations to a new level. Looking into the future, there is huge potential and broad prospect for China-Namibia friendly cooperation, which will surely bring more benefits to the two peoples.
