China and Namibia enjoy a profound traditional friendship. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990, the friendship between the two countries has been continuously strengthened, and mutual beneficial cooperation in various fields has been further deepened. The Chinese Government and people highly value the relations between the two countries. The Chinese Embassy will work together with the Namibian side to enhance such relation to a new height.

To my delight and encouragement, more and more Namibian people are showing interest in China, a geographically far-away land from Namibia. China is a vast country with a long history of more than 5,000 years. It is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and is playing an increasing important role in the region and in the international arena.

This website, as a window for the Namibian people and people living in Namibia to learn more about China, will provide basic and essential information about China and necessary service that could be of help to people who travel, study or do business in China. It is, therefore, my sincere hope that visitors to this website will find it useful.
