On 19 June 2007, some members of the Chinese Loving Heart Welfare Organization, a charity organization established by the Chinese business community in Namibia, donated 486 children's blankets and 108 cotton quilts through the First Lady to the kids in need in Namibia.

      The handover ceremony was held at the State House and attended by the First Lady H.E. Penehupifo Pohamba, Chinese Ambassador to Namibia H.E. Liang Yinzhu, Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Mr. Lin Jing, and Vice-President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Namibia Mr. Chen Qingping, etc.
      H.E. Liang Yinzhu, Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, mentioned during the ceremony that although the history of Chinese community in Namibia is not long, and their economic strength not strong enough, they still attach great importance to making contributions to the wellbeing of the local people and have already made donations on various occasions through their charity organization "Chinese Loving Heart Welfare Organization" to the Namibian people in need. The Chinese government encourages them to harmoniously coexist with the local people and repay the Namibian people's hospitality and support, esp. by helping the poor ones.
      The First Lady expressed thanks and appreciation for the generous donation, which she believed came at a right time to help orphans and other vulnerable children in the country to go through this winter. She also commended and applauded the good work and dedication of the Chinese business community to help people in need. This donation,again, demonstrates the fraternal relations between the Chinese and Namibian people.
