On 3 December 2007, the new Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, H.E.Ren Xiaoping, held a buffet reception at her residence. More than 180 guests attended the reception, including the First Lady H.E. Penexupifo Pohamba, the former First Lady H.E. Kovambo Nujoma, Hon. Theo-Ben Gurirab, Hon. Nangolo Mbumba, Hon. Albert Kawana, Hon. Richard Kamwi, Hon. Charles Namoloh, Lieutenant- General Martin Shali, Hon.Lempi Lucas, Hon.Tjekero Tweya, Hon.Henock ya Kasita, Hon.Isack Katali, and other high officials and journalists of Namibia.  Dozens of ambassadors from the Diplomatic Corps. in Namibia also graced this event by their presence.
