Namibia will make more efforts to strengthen the economic and technological cooperation with China, Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula said on Thursday.

Angula made the remarks when meeting with Wang Gang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Angula said the Namibian government and people are very grateful to the precious support by the Chinese government and people over the past years.

Namibia will make the joint efforts with China to advance the bilateral relations between the two countries to a new high, he said.

Wang said China and Namibia are good friends in trust, good brothers in need and good partners benefiting each other.

China has always attached great importance to the bilateral relations with Namibia and will step up the efforts to deepen the high-level exchange and cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Wang is heading a Chinese delegation, which arrived in Windhoek on Wednesday, on a three-day visit to Namibia.
